color

Hue

It's what most people mean when they name a color. Flowers come in all colors and shades, even black.

It's the color wheel; primary colors (R,B,Y), secondary colors (O,G,V), and tertiary colors (Y/R, R/O, R/V, B/V, B/G, Y/G). Everything not on the color wheel is a saturation or intensity of a hue.

Pink is not actually a color, it is a value of red (R+W). However, no one is going to correct you if you call and ask for a monochromatic pink arrangement.

value

It's the lightness and darkness of a hue. It plays an important role in floral design. Pastels, and light colors are frequent requests.

intensity

It's how bright a color is. Flowers come in many intensities.
